Privacy Policy
What RankHigh collects, why, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.
Effective August 11, 2026
The short version
We collect your email address, what you tell us during setup, and how you do on practice questions and physical benchmarks. We use it to run the course and to email you about it. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers. You can ask for a copy or ask us to delete it at any time.
1. What we collect
Things you give us. Your email address. Optionally, your examination date, physical test date, how long you want each session to be, your working pattern and your starting fitness level. Anything you write to us.
Things you create by using the service. The answers you select, how confident you said you were, which questions you got right, the physical results you log, and which days you were active.
Payment details. Handled entirely by our payment processor. We receive a confirmation and a transaction reference. We never see or store your full card number.
Technical data. Standard server logs, including IP address and browser type, kept for security and troubleshooting.
We do not ask for and do not want your medical information. Please do not send it to us.
2. Storage on your own device
Your display settings — theme, typeface, text size, spacing, motion — and some progress data are stored in your own browser, not on our servers. Clearing your browser storage erases them, and we cannot recover them.
We record how people found us, without identifying them. When you arrive, your browser generates a random string and remembers the first RankHigh page you landed on, whether a search engine or a link sent you, and any campaign tags in the address. That string is not linked to your name, your email or your account, means nothing on any other site, and is stored in your own browser. We use it to count how many people who read a particular page go on to take a free test or buy — which is how we decide which pages are worth writing. If you complete a purchase, that same string travels with the payment so we can tell which page led to it. We do not store the full address you arrived from, only the website name; we keep the five standard campaign tags and discard the rest of the query string.
If you report a problem with a question, we store the question, the category you chose, anything you typed in the optional box, and that same random string so we can tell one person reporting an item forty times from forty people reporting it once. Please do not put personal information in that box — we do not need it and ask you not to send it.
If you tell us an exam is missing, we store only what you typed, with no identifier of any kind attached. We do not ask for an email and do not want one.
We count visits. Our hosting provider, Vercel, measures page views, which pages were looked at, and where visitors arrived from. It sets no cookies and keeps no identifier that would follow you to another site, so it can tell us how many people read a page but not who they were.
We run Google’s advertising tag on this site. It is the only advertising script here, and it loads on every page so that Google can measure whether the advertising we pay for reaches anyone. It may set its own cookies. When a purchase is completed we tell Google that one happened, with the amount and the payment reference — not your name, email, or anything else that identifies you. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers beyond that.
3. Why we use it
To give you access to what you bought; to decide which questions to show you next and how you are progressing; to email you about your purchase and about the course; to take payment and prevent fraud; to fix problems and keep the service secure; and to understand in aggregate which material is working, so we can improve it.
We will only email you about something other than your purchase if you have asked us to, and every such email has an unsubscribe link.
4. Who else sees it
A small number of service providers, each of which only receives what it needs: our hosting provider, our payment processor, and our email delivery provider. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
We may disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims. If the business is ever sold or transferred, data may transfer with it, and we will tell you before that happens.
We never sell your data, and we never share it with an employer, an examination body, or a hiring authority. Nothing you do here is visible to anyone deciding whether to hire you.
5. How long we keep it
Account and progress data for as long as you have an account, and then up to 24 months, so that returning candidates do not lose their history between examination cycles. Records of purchases for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Anonymous, aggregated statistics about question performance may be kept indefinitely, because they cannot be traced back to you.
6. Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to a particular use. Write to privacy@rankhighprep.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Deleting your data ends your access, and we cannot restore it afterwards. Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights, and we will honor them.
7. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and held with reputable providers with access limited to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects you, we will tell you.
8. Children
This service is for adults preparing for public-sector examinations and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes and contact
If we change this policy materially we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. Questions go to privacy@rankhighprep.com.
