Each hydrant in the district is inspected twice per calendar year. Hydrants on private roads are additionally pressure-tested once every three years. A hydrant that fails inspection is tagged out of use and reported to the Water Division within 24 hours. If the failed hydrant is on a private road, the property owner is also notified within 5 working days.
