ASSIGNMENT POLICY A Field units and the areas they cover: Unit 11 — Harbor, Ridgeview Unit 12 — Ridgeview, Eastfield Unit 13 — Midtown, Eastfield Unit 14 — Eastfield, Ridgeview Unit 15 — Harbor, Ridgeview Answers are written as every unit in turn, with Y if the policy assigns it and N if it does not. Rules, in order of precedence: 1. A unit may be assigned only to an area it covers, except where a rule below says otherwise. 2. A unit shown as out of service is never assigned. 3. A non-emergency call is assigned the first available unit on the list that covers the area. If no unit that covers the area is available, no unit is assigned. 4. An emergency call is assigned every unit that covers the area and is either available or on a non-emergency call.
